Sanjiv Soni

Welcome! I am a System Software Developer at Apple Inc. I work with Power and Performance team to collect cellular and other radio telemetry across all Apple products to drive Power Triage, Analytics and Optimisations to save battery life. This preceded by my Master's in Computer Science at the University of Southern California (USC). I am interested in Sensors, Software Engineering and Data Science.

Prior to joining USC, I was a Data Scientist at Montane Ventures, where I worked on designing ML backed supplemental search for sourcing startup deals. Before that, worked as a software engineer at Str8bat Sports Wearables, where I focused on offline Machine Learning, firmware & analytics on coin sized IMU device mounted on the back of cricket bat, whose aim was to help players improve their batting performance by tracking their bat strokes. I earned a patent to detect sweet spot bat hit using single source accelerometer.

When my keyboard rests, I love to go on hikes, work on micro mouse projects, tri-copters and 1/10 Self Driving F1 car
